Mozilla Firefox 1.5 final

Finally its out of beta stages and into the real world. I downloaded and installed and i'm liking the lil spruced up features, beaing able to move you tabs just click and drag it where you want it among the other tabs, i love that i've been looking for an extention like that for quite some time now. most of the themes that i had dont work but i'm sure in due tiem that'll come. I"m wondering if i shouldn't get the firefox dev kit and make myown themes etc... i mean its not like i'm not capable make em and put em up for dl on the AnimeSynergy or the AnimeSynergy freewallpapers and downloads. something to think about i guess. but to get to the ending note. firefox really rools. i.e wil forever drool. opera try's to be the man but nobody does it like firefox can. pretty cheesy i know but lol i think its cool :p

Xbox Media Center Pimped Edition

I finally had to install media center yesterday for the sake of watching an anime tsubasa chronicles my notebook was giving a bit of trouble when i tried watching it. funny thing is the dvd which it was burn on was multi sessioned so.. :( xbox wont pick up ne ting on the dvd seems like its blank. how annoying. I'm gonna test out teh pimped edition today though when i re-watch gunslinger girls :)

xbox 360 a flop and a failure

on the note of being a flop. I'm not impressed by the demo's i've scene. they really dont look that different from xbox but this i'm aware should be expected. as the technology is know the developers have being toying with the xdk for awhile and probably still doesn't know its efficiency and defficits as well.

The gleaner called this morning again. Asking If i was okay with working from 12 - 5 monday to fridays and maybe from 1 - 4 on on day of the week. I was like sure whatever. I have no problem with it at all, Guy said he'ld call me back later in the day with the details. I really hope this works out for me. Ya'll better be praying for me.

Xbox modded

Yep the box was modded forgot to confirm it. And its working great, I need to install xbox media center as soon as I get back home. I got some pretty cool skins as well, yep animated skins. Like the fights from animatix and some other stuff, its really hot. I'm gonna need a bigger xbox hd like asap cause currently it seems more than half of my hd is already being used up so i'm gonna have to get that dealt with other wise i'mgonna have to burn a copy of all my games etc. Which I cant be bothered with at times fr the emulators etc, I"ld rather just throw em on the hd.

Salsavibe back up n running

Seems the developers for Salsavibe had taken the entire site down for a revamp, Not too shabby if I may say so myself, seems like The new Salsavibe is sporting a completely css designed template. Nice layout I'm liking the colors as well check it out. Salsa's in jamaica and it looks like its not leaving ne time soon.

Shopping for a pda Or a Smart phone scenario

So far I've owned 3 Smartphones Nokia ngage, Sony Erricson p800 and the palm Treo 600 the pest of the three definately was the uiq P800 the treo did wonderful as a pda but failed as a Phone, This is my take on the Whole Smart device issue. I'm thinking; Get a pda with bluetooth and the works [ this def includes Wi. Fi. and when on the road i'll route gprs to the pda via bluetooth on my t610 which i unlocked to both networks so i'll be able to pop my cable and wireless chip in [ affordable gprs ]. Then Get another phone for my digicel chip [ a nokia 1100 a.k.a the flash light ] Will do well for this. And thats it.
The draw back with this plan is I'll Still be using the Palm os which wasn't very fun [ treo experience ] I gotta admit i love symbian, Where palm has power symbian has popularity and growing power. The userbase for palm won't be as large as symbian, And from the looks of it cellphones are the device of the future sony got smart and jumped out of the pda market And pretty soon other companies might follow suit. So in the event that I totally move from the pda route I Think I"m gonna end up with an ngage as a temporary smart phone until i can afford a Sony Erricson P910i.

Modded Xbox in a few hours

The box will be modded tomorrow fer sho :) finally and just in time as most wanted is on the scene also i need to be neo in the path of neo a.s.a.p Will post objective reviews as soon as possible let ya'll know whats what with em games, If they live up to the hype that was trailing em. Will Also post any new findings with the whole modding thing. Gonna make an animesynergy xbox skin :) you know how we do with promotions look out for the Tshirts and Armbands. Synergy and Syndicate is taking over.

Stock market down turn

You know its funny I know this asshole he's realy a jerk at his core but he taught me one thing about stocks he said whenever you see market activity going haywire everybody wants in etc.. its probably time you look elsewhere than the stock market because there's no way they can support that surpluss they're getting it happens allthe time. then everyone jumps right back out. about 2-3 months ago stocks were all over theplace in the daily paper, on tv, ncb held its ncap seminars at knutsford court hotel a few times [ the food was amazing trust me great catoring ] but now... :( for stocks, when was the last time i heard the words stock before today i'm not so sure.. but its been awhile. check this out

Mayberry gets smacked inthe face with some extremly hard times, funnything is this same company went public a few months ago inthe ipo crazyness that was happening around the same time as the ncap seminars no i remember posting on a forum that this was bound to happen but i was told noo mayberry stocks are sound and yadda yadda yadda first rule i'ld say of stock is nothing is sound and solid with the stock market the whole thing is a risk in anyway you look at it. Softmod Your xbox for free

Firstly, I bought a xbox to usb-female converter. I figured out that the action replay/datel max drive et al are just xbox formatted memory keys so a traditional PC formatted memory key should work with the converter. And it did! Be sure to use a blank memory key as the xbox will format it, once formatted you can use this hacked action replay program to transfer the 'crafty' savegame to your xbox. if you have a action replay or datel max drive... etc you still have to use the hacked program as the savegame won't transfer with the bundled software.
I used Splinter Cell, but you can use Agent under fire and Mechassault too.

Formatting the memory key

All you need to do is connect a blank PC memory key to the usb converter while the xbox is on. Access the memory management screen in the Xbox dashboard, select the memory card, an error message will pop up when the xbox tries to access it, something along the lines of "unrecognised card, it has been formatted". Great! now exit the menu and turn off your xbox. Connect the Xbox formatted Memory Key to your PC. DO NOT access it via explorer as Windows will try to reformat it. open the hacked Action replay program and it show up in it. All you need to do now is drag and drop the 'crafty' save game into the memory card window.

UPDATE: Not all memory keys are compatible, check here to see if yours will work. (Cheers Furbs) NB: This list isn't complete and is regulary updated. If your key isn't compatible, i reccomend you buy datel max drive which range from aorund £15, gameplay has them for 17.99 + delivery. Have a look on Ebay, I'm told you can get them cheaper there.

To aquire the crafty savegame...

download Softmod Installer Deluxe v2.0 (torrent). All 'crafty' save games are included and follow the FAQ included, or use this guide. FYI This is what i did:

- Transferred the 2 splinter cell crafty savegames to my memory key via the hacked action replay program
- copied the files from the memory key to the hard drive using the memory management section in the xbox dashboard
- loaded up splinter cell
- loaded the crafty savegame
- xbox resets with the Softmod menu
- backed up my current MS dashboard (option given Softmod menu, nothing diffucult)(This lets you reinstate the normal xbox dash so you can use xbox live)
- installed Softmod
- installed evoultion-X (which came with dvd2xbox and a dvd player preinstalled!)
- reset xbox
- w00ted! \o/
- Connected Xbox to PC via Cross over network cable
- Setup FTP (the xbox uses 192.168.0.2 un:xbox pswd:xbox by default you can change it via EvoX if you wish)
- w00ted! \o/
- transferred emulators, proggys etc... (e:/apps, e:/games)

The FAQ will explain how to do all the above in easy to understand language, it is impossible to fuck this up, anyone with basic PC knowledge can do it.

Where to aquire apps and emulators
Priotic mentions an FTP access where he aquired his save games, they also have loads useful apps and emulators,

If you need any emulators, i can email them to you. You will need Xbox Media Centre to play divx, mp3 etc... a torrent for it should be availble on most torrent sites or xbins.org. It's a brilliant program it's able to stream movies to your xbox via your home network!

AnimeSynergy Re-Vamped

As my homepage wasn't quite up to par I took the entire day and did a full revamp The banners arent rotating yet. but all i need is the banners to do that. Having them designed right now, hopefuly the designer doesnt fall asleep as he is one of the laziest guys I've ever seen in my life. AnimeSynergy's direction

Seems I'm gonna have to take AnimeSynergy on an international level, I know i haven't got all the jamaican anime fans on it as yet but it seems quite a few of these kind of people either have no internet access or just plain and simple cannot be bothered with forums. I'm gonna have to do some international advertisments but first i'm gonna have to set a few things straight, The front page i have the design done up. However I need banners, and a log how difficult is this for me very, so difficult that i cant even attempt ohh how i hate gfx. Hopefully I can get Omega X a member of the forums and king sig maker to make me a few banners and a logo.

Xbox Modding Mission

Its been a full week since i've re-acquired an xbox too bad i got rid of the first one i mean i had a softmod and an 80 gig hd now i got 10 gig again and no mod. I need to figure out how to softmod without using the game expliots from the original mechassault and 007 as nobody has that game. Need to mod my xbox only original games i got are bloodomen and kotor and I'm sick of both.

Annual Intcommex Expo

The annual intcommex expo seems to have been an altime flop/failure when using the previous expo's as a measuring stick. Its sort of ironic that the year they made it completely public and 100% free it bombed and probably bombed horrible. Being broke I couldn't attend :( you know how it is.. its free and you still cant go. In any event i has a staff Reporter out there in the field to bring me back some pictures of the event and there they are.

day 3 after interview

Still no phone call. I"m really buggin about this thing. I need this job man. Gotta have it, I'm officially broke no money what so ever zero this cant work.. I mean I'm not use to this $hit. Really i'm right on the edge dangling at the moment. Hope I get this at the gleaner to pull my self back up.

Monday's Interview

Went to the gleaner interview. Didn't go to bad. I'm actually sort of confident about the whole thing. However confidence doesn't mean anything. I got a little news manager application to create in php. Most of the framework i did at the interviewers office, but it got sorta late so I took it home and finished it up and emailed it.
The real drama now was getting home from the interview. I left the gleaner at 6:00 pm. asked directions how to get back to the towns parade [ center activity of downtown kingston ]. I got directions of how to walk which i wasn't gonna do, and where to get a cab. I headed to the direction of a cab, on making the left turn i was told to i saw a long street no lights at all on it nothing but darkness at 6:30pm in the night downtown kingston. Immediate uturn, i'ld have to be stupid to do that. So i turned back started making some phone calls, was contemplating getting a cab straight to portmore [ home ] which would run me about $1000 but I really didn't care at that point. I saw a cabby passing at that time i signalled him he stopped. I charterd him to take me to my bustop. On getting there i called my cousin who works down town to see if he had already left. he was still there. "which is strange as he left work from 5 and normally heads home immediatly". On exiting the cab i was greated by a sea of people. I've never seen so much people ever. No session/party or beach got this type of crowd. So after waiting downtown for about 1 hour i got annoyed tried to find a cab to charter couldn't find one. I eventually suggested that we leave this forsaken place and head to half way tree [ my neck of the woods, I'm really like a wolf cut off from his pack when down town i hadn't been there in years ]. We eventually made the move to halfway tree my cousins co-workers who were there also came with us. on arrival to halfway tree we were greeted with a similar crowd. yep it wasnt' as bad as down town was but it still was wayy more than the average. on getting there i called home trying to find out what was the problem, Seems on the return route for traffic to get to halfway tree and town there was an accident between a car and a truck, which was causing all this problems. I was starving so i headed directly to burger king and got me a bacon whopper with cheese a hershy pie and made sure i went large, devoured that and then headed back out to see what my cousin was up to. We ended up hanging out with this girl [ model ] and her mom in front of bk until about 9:30 before we got a bus. [ a jutc at that :| which i dont generally take home ever ]. the ntsc executive class bus crowed was way too much though so I really couldn't be bothered. We eneded up taking one of the extended jutc's [ what they call the train or bi-articulated bus ]. Traffic was a real bitch though. so the driver did someting jutc buses never normally do. he went of route. so we're on a shortcut and people start yelling things like "me ago tell pj [ i'll tellthe priminister your off route ] etc. This lady then shouts out from outside, driver stop the roads are horrible youd ont wanna go down there with this vehicle. Of course that made no sense at the time because its a bi-articulated buss on a narrow road how would it turn back. So we kept on path. on the first occurence of a ccrater in the road. everyone in the bus gasped. that looked like something from the moon the driver had to use some real skill putting the bus onthe side walk making sure he clears the entire front so the second half of the buss doesnt fall in. The craters [pot hole as we say here] just kept getting worse. the driver was skilled though so we cleared them all. I got home at 11:30 that night.. I hate downtown and If i get that job of the gleaner I have no clue how I'm gonna manage with transportation its horrible down there.

Tomorrow is the day.

Interview is tomorrow at 1:30pm. Yep i'll be there about 1 hour early looking like i own the place. Too bad I Got rid of the treo as it really would go toward the look I'm gonna be pulling off tomorrow. Wish me luck people, I want that job. I need that money.

Going to bed before 4am

Yep its the first in about a week. That I maybe going to bed before 4 am. I mean its not a certainty cuase i'm not there, I'm still behind this note book. and working on my website. The reason for the forced early bedtime is my internet conectivity problems. Yep my isp seems to be screwing around once again. I tell you thingslike this pick the perfect time to happen to me. The good thing about it all is it happened now when traffic on my site is low hopefully in the morning it'll be fine. Member ship for AnimeSynergy is doing pretty well for a site that opened up approximatly 2 weeks ago. Any way my fellow bloggers and blog readers good night, well morning. :)

Drained

its now 6 in the morning and I've yet to sleep Started working on some modules on my actual website and couldn't stop untill i was finished. Still have one module to work on though then the actual color scheme for the site.. But its like sleep just shot me in the face with a gun saying "LAY DOWN". I'm gonna go pass out now.
