I've stuck it out with blogger for quite some time now, i mean i love it here, i did a bit of custom work with my blogger template and whatnot and i really just couldn't be bothered to move my blog to my own domain but the time arrived and the deed is done

No really i was bored and yknow on my daily youtube digging and came accross a parody made by the same guys that brought us "ITS THE JUGGERNAUT BITCH." man these guys are crazy. guy got his line put in the xmen 3 movie maybe if there's a power rangers movie "god forbid it" something from this might make it in the movie thought i highly doubt it"

no notebook for 3 weeks

k so i made the move n sold my trustworthy dell inspiron 6000.... moment of silence for the lost soldier.


k the replacement will be a e1605 or a inspiron 6400 really cant wait till it gets here so i can begin the creation of my dedicated ubuntu notebook. might give windows 10 gigs.. might.

for the time being my qtek 9090 will be pushed to the limit its gonna have to do everything and has been doing pretty well so far, browsing instant messaging putty ssh sessions and soon ftp app will be installed. the downside is i cant watch anime for 3 weeks as i have no pc this kinda bytes :(

planning on buying a wireless router today so i can use the qtek with internet at home with some freedom, hope i get one at a reasonable price.

my thumbs kinda hurt right now so i'm done blogging for now..

So about a night or 2 ago we all got an email at work (well my department) stating that there's a punctuality issue .. :( yeh i'm guilty for being late A WHOLE LOT. so i've taken measures. its day 2 of the early morning saga, my body feels like its shutting down when it gets to 12 - 1 pm but i figure i'll adjust soon enough.

so they changed the by and sell section. yknow fine but really this gay behaviour of deleting the thread kinda annoying. so someone selling soemthing liek 2 weeks later they post it again.. delete 1 nuh.. nooo the fool them delte both of them ore time so even if you look back for 2 weeks nothing.. so annoying.. i cant wait till bartergeek is up and running.

So I been really happy since day thinking about my notebook that i was gonna buy today. an hp bad ass system dvd burner the works. now i cant.. because the owner double crossed me and sold it :(. I mean he didn't know me or ne thing but jah know i wanted it he saw my number on his phone when i caled (dont do private) he could have called and said something so i could plea for it to be held today. i told the dood friday i made sure i got th emoney from today and figured hmm lemme just buy it today and done and bam in your face grim reaper news, NOTEBOOK SOLD sold sold sold sold sold sold...

So this lady died.. right. and she as in canada right.. .and our goverment shipped her body back to ja for the funeral right.. i wonder how much that cost.. her service and the whole locking down of the area for the march that was gonna happen. how much did that really cost jamaica.

The Most Mind Numbing Movie EVAR!!!!!!111!!!

I just sat through what is definately the most mind numbing movie ever created since the dawn of time. They called it house of the dead, first thing they did wrong was putthe cheesy dreamcast gameclips in there and i dont mean subtle by changing the actual scene thats happening into a 32 bit looking version.. oh no, they just stick it in kinda like yow look at this seriously WTF?....

The acting.. have you ever seen people that know nothing about what their doing speak, thats the kinda vibe i got from everything in the movie, thier shooting guns and talking about bullets and its obvious that they never held a gun dont know what a bullet is dont know anything. o.O.

Action Scenes. They make absolutely no sense so i'm a human and i'm killing zombies i'm standing beside a zombie i mean centemeters away and i shoot the one thats like 6 feet away makes sense.. hellllzz no it just all felt dumb. there was an action scene with a really horrid instrumental that went on for at least 8 minutes. 8 minutes of pure garbage.

one bartering system to rule them all

So at one point the place to be when selling ne thing online in jamaica was techmaica.com the forums there were full of techie's who were always looking to buy that new gadget. and sometimes even when its not a gadget it'll get sold cuase there aren't only techies on techjamaica.. go figure.. some new rules got implemented int he buy and sell section and people got pissed off some left, some just couldn't be bothered ne more and so on.. then a few other online sales sites popped up, example http://www.selljamaicaonline.com/ and i think a http://www.reggeaebay.com which later changed to another url. and there are more.. but non of em quite hit the spot, they were all just action systems that never really moved anybody to use it.. now there comes one heavy hitter, the one bartering system that will own all bartering system that are web based and of jamaican origin. and that is BARTERGEEK. so far the forums are up and man do i gotta say i love what i see so far, it looks like an ajax based forum, i cant wait until the full launch of this bartering system takes place

So i moved up a lil bit in google's popularity from the 800k to the 700k regions, and my overall ranking on silktide moved from a average 7.6 to an 8.7, seems like the search engine optimization is working. all i really need now is a gallery implentation, because from my stats it seems to be what my users are looking for, might have to shell out some cash and buy photopost gallery.

Rain Falls and jamaica shuts down

Yesterday friday the 4th of august, I left work at approximately 4:00 pm give about 5 - 10 minutes extra. it was raining, i'm sporting my 2 week old bankrobbers (suade btw), itsl ike dead no so i need new ones but that aside, everywhere you looked there was traffic.
So this hot chick at work is giving me a ride home and we were in traffic for i'ld say at least 2 hours,, stuck no movement kinda traffic it was getting ridiculous, and of course the cops with the blaring sirens all of a sudden ye i wanna do my job and get the the crime scene (there is nothing goin on they just wanna get home). the road was chaos man. immagine if jamaica had real problems like snow what would happen, when like inches of snow is on the road people would justsleep at work cuase it would make no sense trying to get home.

it really grinds my gears this traffic situation.. grrrr.

Ubuntu Blowing up. (getting popular)

no ubuntu is not blowing up people's laptops your people who just read headers and make up a story of your own.. (shakes head at you people). Its really the most popular linux distro if i do say so my self, since novell bought suse and made it an enterprise based distro it seems its level of popularity has sorta fell ( i still love suse though its really got everything, i've never plugged anything in to my suse book (i only have notebooks so i dont say box(pc)). and it never worked.


I love me some ubuntu, it comes in different flavors edubuntu, xubuntu, kubuntu (kde environ) ubuntu (gnome environ ftw :p). i'm on my second cup of ubuntu (second distro upgrade i started in breezy badger days and not from the first (warty warthogh) release.

there is only a few and when i say few i mean few things that i cant do in linux that i really can do in windows.

I cant put mp3's on my mp3 player because iriver is gay and made a pact with the devil (microsoft and mr billgates) so that the iriver T30mx cannot be used on any computer that doesn't have windows media player 10. i thought all mp3 players were basically flash drive based.. why didn't i go with the creative muvo i dont know.. :(..

the other thing i cant do as of yet is use my qtek 9090 with my ubuntu setup it is a Pocket PC afterall. I've seen some lil talk of it on the ubuntu forums i might take a swing at it after i finally get ifolder up and running. my stressing project at the moment.. a friend of mine.. enigma got his ifolder up and running but the simias server has began bitchin so now no one can log in.. see enigma's blog

http://yaadrides.com, a local car enthusiast website that just got one hell of a redesign. Yardrides now sports a new gallery system and what seems to be a cms based website. its looking good with its own custom theme. i give it a 4 out of 5 on the web dev scene

Art or Madness

hmm. art, pioneers of the many artforms, leonardo, donotello, rapheal, michealangelo... sound like ninja turtle to me :p. now i was at a this event my company put on "customer appreciation" and the venue was a meseum. the art that was on display wasn't ne thing that really moved me but the prices sure as hell did... moved me far away from em so no danger would come to them leaving me responsible for ne damages and liable for the cost.

the gym virus

it seems some new virus is in the air, that has everybody running to the gym like its a hospital, eating healthy food and the works. Quite interesting if you ask me. I've injurred myself, doing some calf press's, i didn't strech after and now i can barely walk muscles are sore as ever, gotta strech it out tonight (thats gonna be a real bitch fyi).
I'm thinking about joinin the gym at work but i'm not 100% sure about making that commitment as yet.

Flash and Linux

Flash and linux really grinds my gears.. i got it working then all of a sudden (months after) my sound just went when playing flash files my life got miserable (i'm a youtube fanatic). yesterday i finally decided i must fix this. on fixing it i realized a bug, whenever i play a flash video that is triggered by a hoverover action script firefox freezes, this cant work, i mean i could be reading a really important article and then bam it freez's and i dont remember the url to go back, total bullshit.

Gonna reasearch a fix for it later hopefully anyway its just a rant, back to gunxsword this anime pwns everything man.

Tux moved from free to a subscription magazine :(

Let me start this blog entry off by saying NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! mango parfrait (writer in tux monthly mag) what are you guys doing... i love this mag and read religiously every month.

I got an email about 2 days ago stating that tux will no longer be a free digital pdf monthly magazine but will become a subscribtion service, however they're not mean, so they'll continue to give the current subscribers (yayyy for me) there monthly fix for a few months and probably phase it out over time.

My questions is why?

Why the change, was it an overall loss giving the magazine away free? couldn't they have explored other options to pull some form of revenue, maybe sell adspace in the magazine, using their user subscription base as statistics to show the demographic that the magazine attracts and is circulated to.

What am i gonna read when they phase it out eventually?

I dunno to be honest, i've been thinking about linux journal, as a physical magazine replacement for the digital tux. I know i dont wanna pay for a digital magazine i cant read it on the bus, i cant read it at the barber shop, i cant read it when i'm in the shitter (yes i read on the toire :p). So physical linux magazine for the win.

Do i really wanna pay for a digital copy of a magazine?

simply put the answer is definately no, i just hope linux journal can keep me interested. I need to speak to some people that subscribe to linux mags monthly and see the quality of the articles. before i make ne stupid subscriptions.
